Environment

To support imaginative interventions that contribute to an increased understanding of the importance of habitat conservation for the protection of the environment…

2010 partnerships and initiatives include:

  • promoting initiatives that develop an increased understanding of the economic value of habitat conservation to influence decision-makers through partnerships with a limited number of major organisations;

  • promoting public understanding of issues of habitat conservation with a view to increasing political engagement, for example, with Botanic Gardens Conservation International and the Natural History Museum;

  • helping highlight the challenges, local and global, faced by sites of conservation and natural heritage through the Gulbenkian Galapagos Artists’ Residency Programme;

  • researching and scoping new areas of need that will help us meet our strategic aim.
