As a general principle, the Foundation supports projects which are genuinely original in their field and also favours those which take place outside London. In addition to accepting applications for projects that fit within its designated programmes, the Foundation increasingly sees the value in initiating a series of strategic partnerships. Exceptionally, we may consider ideas which fall outside our programmes if we think these to be of particular interest to us and they have the potential to be truly innovative. Please note
As a guide, grants made by the Foundation rarely exceed £15,000.
The Foundation does not give grants in response to general fundraising appeals or towards the simple continuation of existing services. Please also read our list of exclusions.
The UK Branch deals only with grant applications from organisations (which should be registered charities or similar not-for-profit organisations) in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland and only with projects which benefit people in these countries.
